Day 24 - 27 at the New Drunken Monkey

呼～～～醉悟空這幾天越來越緊鑼密鼓的準備了！油漆都已完成，我們也非常滿意最後呈現的顏色。在設計時有點擔心黑色和橘色還有水泥及木頭顏色的配合，不過最後的感覺我們非常喜歡，很開心有跟著悟空的直覺走。全新設計的醉悟空ＬＯＧＯ招牌也上架了，繞到虎林街記得來找找悟空猴的身影！今天另外的大進度就是我們的廚房設備都大部分進場囉！非常大力的感謝明佶公司張先生們的超讚服務，東西都很精緻實在！等不及要開火炒菜給大家吃囉！
Wow it's been a busy couple of days.  Painting is all done and we're really happy with the colors.  We were a bit unsure as we put them up but we're glad we went with what we did.  Our sign with our brand new logo designed by Annie just went up as well!  Look for the monkey when you turn the corner!  Aside from painting and signage, most of our equipment arrived today.  It's really beautiful stuff, compliments to Yeoman for the exemplary service.  Can't wait to fire it up!  Have a look in the meantime.

Day 23 at the new Drunken Monkey

時序走到了第23天，終於到了油漆的時候！今明兩天應該會完成大部分的油漆，接著我們的啤酒桌也會送到了！下週一則是廚房設備的到來，所有的東西一一到齊，就萬事俱全，只欠悟空了！（悟空也會趕快準備好開始做菜的！！！）
今天還有另一個意外讓人驚喜的進度就是天然瓦斯管的裝錶及拉管！因為師傅本來望著昨天的大豪雨，不顧我的三催四請要延宕今天的工程進度，不過一早他們還是出現了！所以也順利地完成了我們天然瓦斯部分的管線！
Finally, it's time to paint!  Two days of painting and then our signature picnic tables will be arriving.  Next week our kitchen equipment arrives so keep your eyes open for that as well.  Our natural gas lines just went in today as well.  We're happy the gas guys even showed up, since they said they don't work on rainy days.. even if the job is indoors.  Go figure.  Anyway they showed, so here's some pictures!

Day 21 at the New Drunken Monkey

時序越來越靠近六月，醉悟空也越來越成形了！剩下一些小部分例如油漆及照明的工程
，再等廚房設備進駐，整體就差不多了！今天我們把玻璃安裝上，看看門口的玻璃窗！天氣舒服時窗戶可以整個拉開，坐在窗邊的吧檯就可以吹著徐徐涼風。同時今天也安裝照明燈的軌道，以及靠近廚房的吧檯座位上方的黑板，以後來醉悟空用餐一定要注意這塊黑板喔！我們有任何新的主廚推薦或時節限定菜色都會寫在這邊！！！期待見到各位醉悟空朋友！！！
Wow things are almost finished here! It looks like we're going to make our June opening date.  Little odds and ends here and there to be done still.  Today we had our glass installed.  Check out the quadruple fold windows!  When it's pleasant out you'll be able to enjoy a breeze at our window bar seats.  Lighting is going up now, and we've got a glass black board set up above our bar seats.  Keep your eye on that spot for new specials!  See you soon at the Drunken Monkey!

Day 8 to 17 at the New Drunken Monkey

哈囉大家！

歹勢delay了我們的進度報告，不過這10天來有好多東西都做好了！

廚房區在水電管線配置好後，先灌了水泥，再鋪上了防滑地磚，師傅謹慎的測量角度，讓日後刷洗地板的水流可以順順地的流到水孔中。客席區的地板也鋪好了，我們先鋪上木板再用水泥板讓整體有工業風的感覺。

懸掛冷氣的室外機倒是廢了一點功夫，與二樓鄰居協調了兩天才終於決定放到側巷，本來請了吊車來掛室外機結果白忙一場，不過敦親睦鄰還是最重要的一件事！

整體雛形現在都出來了，開放式廚房真是讓我們最興奮且驕傲的設計。客席區的部分傳承舊醉悟空的木頭啤酒桌(他們在路上了)，我們這次還設計了兩處的吧檯位置可供客人坐，靠門窗邊的位置將會有舒服的自然光線，就算自己來用餐也可以很愜意！

看著醉悟空一天一天成形，我們心裡既期待又興奮，您們是不是也一樣呢？

Hi Everyone! 

Wow we really dropped the ball on timeliness.  We've been super busy with a million different things, but we've got tons of progress to report!

Our kitchen and dining room floors are finished!  Our open kitchen design has fully taken shape, our exhaust system and AC are both in as well.

It was a bit of a battle to get our AC units put up as the neighbor above us was adamant about not putting the AC units on the front of the building.  The front of the building above us is in fact ours to use, but we decided it would be best not to aggravate our neighbor by forcing the issue, so we relocated the units to a less objectionable area.  As a result of this the crane we hired to raise the AC units up went to waste, but it's probably a price worth paying for good relations upstairs.

The new floors look great, and we're excited about the open kitchen design.  Aside from our classic picnic tables (which will be coming soon) we've also got two bar counters where you can chill and have a quick bite.

Day 6 and 7 at the New Drunken Monkey

這兩天主要的進度把廚房的排水及電路拉好, 冷氣的管線及排水也都研究好路線放上, 接下來要準備油漆了! 距離完成繼續倒數!
Lots of little things over the past two days. New walls are up, drainage and electrical have all been put down, and AC pipes have all been dragged through the walls. Time for paint soon, counting down the days!

Day 5 at the New Drunken Monkey

第五天的進展好快！完成了前幾天的水電基本施作後，今天開始大部分的隔間工作。泥作及木工師傅利用磚頭，木頭，以及矽酸鈣板分出以後醉悟空的各個功能區域，例如廚房區及洗碗區。我們超級興奮看到整個空間的雛型大致上出來，更期待到時完工後可以跟各位朋友分享！看看今天一整天的縮時影片吧！
Wow today was a big day for us!  The place is starting to come together in a really visible way.  Today was all masonry and carpentry as we divide up the store into its functional spaces.  We're really excited about how the place is turning out, and we're even more excited to share it with you when we're done!  For now enjoy the progress!

Day 4 at the New Drunken Monkey!

醉悟空施工日誌第四天～
今天有什麼進度呢？ 今天給怕熱的朋友們帶來最好的消息～～～我們裝上了吊隱式冷氣!天氣再熱也不用怕，來醉悟空邊吃邊玩邊涼快吧!!!
Another excellent day of work was had at the Drunken Monkey.  To all you summer heat fearing hungry monkeys we have good news:  AC was installed today!  When the sun girds it's loins for another long day of scorching the earth come chill at the Drunken Monkey!

昨天打掉的舊地磚都已經清理乾淨了！要支撐我們專業油煙處理系統風管架子也裝上了，很多水電及冷氣工程的材料也陸續抵達！一天一小步，慢慢地完成新版醉悟空！
The old tiles are gone and cleaned up, brackets for the exhaust system are in place, and a whole bunch of STUFF has arrived!  We're getting there.. one day at a time.
